NPQ for Leading Teaching
NPQLT
Working together with UCL, our NPQLT programme is facilitated locally by experienced teachers and leaders.
The course will help you gain skills and confidence in creating a culture of high expectations, supporting colleagues with all aspects of their teaching and contributing to effective professional development linked to teaching, curriculum and assessment.
You will gain an understanding of the core principles behind the science of learning and techniques to plan lessons that stimulate your pupils’ thinking, whilst learning practical tools and guidance to sequence your curriculum and plan for assessment.
You will build expertise to enable you to identify and implement good teaching practice whilst supporting colleagues in designing a broad and coherent curriculum, thus helping to create a culture of professional learning and continuous improvement in your school.
Our programmes put you and your school at the heart of the programme through a professional learning group approach that helps you to share your thinking and understanding within a well-planned framework. You will experience a blended approach of face to face, self-directed study materials and in school support to enable you to progress professionally and develop networks to enhance your career.
